A Tribe Called Quest State That Panorama Was Their Last Set To Be Played In New York City

A Tribe Called Quest has been cruising the festival circuit after their album release in 2016 entitled We got it from Here… Thank You 4 Your service, one of which being the Panorama Festival in their hometown of New York City this last weekend. After the passing of beloved group member Phife Dawg last year, their future with continuing the iconic rap group has been foggy and unknown. Fans are now starting to get their answer. During their set at Panorama, after several heartfelt tributes to Phife and his family, the group announced the set would be their final performance “ever” in the Big Apple. Scroll below to watch footage of one of many odes the group gave to their lost band-mate, a humorous anecdote about Phife.

Earlier this month the group played FYF Fest in Los Angeles alongside Frank Ocean and Erykah Badu and Pitchfork Festival in Chicago with other headliners Solange and LCD Soundsystem. In less than two weeks, the group will be performing at Outside Lands in San Francisco, CA, making their rounds to celebrate the new album and of course, Phife Dawg.

Catch me at your local music festival, because there's nothing better than laying back in the grass and listening to your favorite bands or discovering new ones.
