Prolific American musician Moby announced that his new album with The Void Pacific Choir would be given out for free this morning through a bizarre satirical press release. Riddled with errors and strange terminology, the release is styled as John Miller, the publicist that Donald Trump allegedly invented back in the 80’s to brag about himself. While Trump has denied using this alias, he testified in 1990, “I believe on occasion I used that name.”
As the release is written in Trump-style, it releases information in a strange manner that borders incoherence. “the moby artist, who is old and sad, is putting out albums number 2 with the void pacific choirs – apparently MORE FAST SONGS ABOUT THE APOCALYPSE. “Miller” continues to insult Moby, bringing up the fact that he turned down an offer to perform at the Trump inauguration (surprisingly not fake news). Before ending the communication, there are very subtle hints dropped about the content of the album: “the first album they released is very noisy…as is this second album, just see the title, pretty clear.” The message closes with the declaration of Moby as an idiot for releasing the album for free.
MORE FAST SONGS ABOUT THE APOCALYPSE will be the second collaborative album by the collaborative project, Moby and Void Pacific Choir, following 2016’s well received These Systems are Failing. Though, this will be Moby’s 14th album if you can include his work before this group. As a winner of 14 musical awards ranging from NRJ International Male Artist of the Year to Billboard Music Awards Electronic Artist of the Year, clearly Moby is doing something right.

If you’re worried about the apocalypse as foretold by Moby, don’t be. John Miller put it best by saying, “apocalypse? i don’t see real horsies anywhere? SAD.”
