Alice Cooper Releases “Paranoic Personality” and Announces New Album Featuring Two Songs Written with Original Band Paranormal for July 2017 Release

Alice Cooper truly is without a doubt a finely-tuned, one-man rock n’ roll machine. He has been making a living “rocking stages and shocking faces” since the 1960’s, and has continued to serve as the inverse to a one-dimensional, squeaky-clean culture ever since with his “evil” persona and onstage theatrics.

But even the most impressive one-man act can always do with some backup to truly release his full potential. And in the case of Alice Cooper, he had a whole band! Last month, Cooper went on to announce that his next solo effort, Paranormal, will include a series of tracks recorded with his original bandmates, including bassist Dennis Dunaway, guitarist Michael Bruce and drummer Neal Smith.

The outfit even got together to perform in Nashville, with the band showing up as an encore following Cooper’s customary execution via guillotine.

With Paranormal due for a July 28 release via earMusic, lead single “Paranoic Personality” comes at a time just early enough to satiate the needs of fans while still keeping them eagerly waiting for the record.

“Paranormal is like 12 great episodes of The Twilight Zone,” said Alice Cooper, “each song tells its own twisted little tale.” The record plans to feature such guests as the ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons, U2 drummer Larry Mullen Jr. and Deep Purple bassist Roger Glover.

The track listing for his 27th album has also been revealed, including details on the new tracks recorded with the original Alice Cooper band line-up and the 2016 live recordings featuring on the album’s second disc.
