INVSN, the side project of Refused frontman Dennis Lyxzen, recently confirmed a North American tour this fall. The tour will be in support of their new album The Beautiful Stories, which will drop June 9 (tomorrow).
The tour will kick off in New Jersey on September 6, and will wrap around the country hitting spots such as Toronto, New York, Denver, Phoenix, Portland, and will wrap out on the opposite end of the continent in Vancouver.
INVSN is a collaboration between Swedish artists Dennis Lyxzen (Refused and (International) Noise Conspiracy) and longtime collaborator Sara Almgren ((International)Noise Conspiracy), while the rest of the band is filled out by Anders Stenberg, Andre Sandstrom and Christina Karlsson, providing a wonderful cross between electronica and punk, with an ever increasing political message throughout their music. The bands touring with electronic groups such as Echo and the Bunnyman and punk bands like Against Me! have given the group their punk edge that have made them concoction of both genres. Something you can hear in spades on the video for The Beautiful Stories single, “This Constant War.”
In the new video, the band bounces back and forth between the two genres. Explosions of drums and vocals quickly cut out to more synth, pop-friendly passages as the band members are spalshed in paint from all sides. This is the second single to drop from their upcoming album, joining the track “Immer Zu.” Check out the video below along with the tour dates.
