Before we knew it, Day 3 was here, and some exciting acts were set to take the stage. Among them were Fruit Bats and Bleachers, the latter of whom was showered in rainbows on stage (literally…see below). If you haven’t listened to “I Wanna Get Better,” you’re missing out on a jam. And please add “Wake Me” to your love song playlist right now. The absolute best performance of the entire festival, though, might just have to go to the incredibly energetic Arkells, who not only ran out into the crowd and sang to audience members located all around the Ponce de Leon stage, but also called up a random guy to play guitar on stage. Props to that guy who knew three chords: you’re a rockstar now. Saint Motel also had a stellar show, instigating plenty of dance moves and good vibes. Third Eye Blind played their only festival of the year, while The Shins had a glorious skull and flower backdrop that was an obvious showstopper. It was not as epic, however, as Phoenix’s backdrop, a tilted mirror, which revealed audience members and stage reflections for a truly unique performance. And just like that, after some “Lisztomania,” Shaky Knees was over. See you in 2018!
