Shaky Knees Festival 2017 Day 2 Photos

The late David Bowie and an astronaut made an appearance on Day 2 of Shaky Knees, along with a variety of festival-goers. Run River North offered one of the best sets of the day on the smaller Ponce de Leon stage (some hidden gems are featured there!), while Shovels and Rope made Charleston, S.C. proud on the biggest Peachtree stage. Dr. Dog were a highlight in front of a vintage floral backdrop, as were Sylvan Esso’s bombastic dance moves. From Moon Taxi to X Ambassadors, there was a palpable energy pulsing through the crowd, making us feel a little “Unsteady” before moving back to Ponce de Leon for a fantastic folk explosion from Family and Friends. (Fun fact: I danced with Melanie from Family and Friends in the crowd the following day to Phoenix.) The night ended with The xx as luminescent rainbow colors from the prominent SkyView Ferris wheel glowed in the distance.
