Fantômas, brainchild of Mike Patton, will be returning to the American stage to open for iconic rock band Tool in upcoming US tour. This will be the band’s first time performing in the United States since 2008, after nearly a 9 year hiatus from US soil and 3 year hiatus from their most recent performance, it was time to bring the unique show back in front of a live audience.
Mike Patton created Fantômas, which was an Anti-hero from a series of pre-WWI French crime novels, sometimes dubbed the “lord of terror.” The band is formed out of Buzz Osborne on guitar (Melvins), Trevor Dunn on bass (Mr. Bungle, Trevor Dunn’s Trio-Convulsant) and Dale Crover (Melvins) on drums.
The last show the group played was a run of shows in Chile, Australia, New Zealand, in 2014. However, it was not since 2008 that the group has performed in front of a crowd in the US, where they threw down hits for the screaming fans such as “The Godfather”, “Experiment in Terror” and “Charade” (Henry Mancini Cover), plus several other classics.
This is a unique opportunity to experience unparalleled sonic and visual performance from Mike Patton and crew, along with live sets by other highly acclaimed artists, including of course Tool, beneath the picturesque San Bernardino Mountains in Devore, CA, just outside Los Angeles.
Tickets for the show–which is produced by Danny Wimmer Presents and Live Nation Los Angeles—are on sale now at www.Ticketmaster.com.
