At The Drive-In Releases New Single “Pendulum In A Peasant Dress”

At the Drive-In has just released the new single, “Pendulum in a Peasant Dress,” off their forthcoming album in•ter a•li•a. Listen to the song below:

The song is fast-paced and full of At the Drive-In’s signature driving beats and heavy guitar riffs. The chorus repeats, “One shot delivers us from what the heart don’t want, but the heart is broken.”

in•ter a•li•a is out May 5 via Rise Records, and will be the band’s first album in 17 years since the 2000 release of Relationship of Command. The latter is critically acclaimed and often seen as one of the most well-rounded, influential post-hardcore albums of its decade. Amongst its accolades, it was voted 12th out of 100 Albums of the Decade between 2000 and 2009 by NME.

The band was formed in 1993 in El Paso, Texas, and has been regarded as main influencers of modern post-hardcore rock. The lineup has evolved throughout its years in existence and also lived through hiatuses from 2001 to 2016, save for several reunion shows in 2012. Currently, the lineup consists of Cedric Bixler, Omar Rodriguez, Jim Ward, Paul Hinojos and Tony Hajjar.

At the Drive-In has released three additional singles off in•ter a•li•a. Listen to “Governed by Contagions,” “Incurably Innocent,” and “Hostage Stamps.”
