Band Of Horses Members Quit The Band

Two members of Band of Horses have publicly quit the band within hours of each other. Guitarist Tyler Ramsey and bassist Bill Reynolds each took to social media yesterday to announce their different reasons for leaving after 10 years’ playing with the band.

On Instagram, Ramsey stated, “We certainly had some good times and I’m sure I will miss the beautifully dysfunctional family we became. I’ll be releasing my new record and touring this fall and I look forward to seeing everybody!”

Reynolds announced his leave on Facebook, stating, “I am moving on to pursue other things. I will be producing records, doing photography, and who knows, maybe I’ll go on the road again someday.” Each posted stage photos of Band of Horses. View their full posts below:

Both Ramsey and Reynolds joined the band in 2007 after the release of the album Cease to Begin, and contributed to three full-length studio albums: Infinite Arms, Mirage Rock and Why are You OK. Current members include Ben Bridwelll on vocals, guitar, pedal steel and keyboards, Creighton Barrett on drums and Ryan Monroe on keyboards. They have all been members of the band since the early 2000s, and Ben Bridwell founded the band in 2004 while residing in Seattle.

Neither of the remaining Band of Horses members have commented publicly yet on Ramsey and Reynolds’ leaving, but the band is set to begin a summer tour in two weeks throughout the United States. View the tour dates below:
