Seattle based festival Bumbershoot has just announced their 2017 lineup via Facebook today (April 25). The top billers to head the festival are Flume, Lorde amd Odesza, while the second teir acts could be headlining themselves. Those include Weezer, Big Sean, Dillon Francis, Die Antwoord, HAIM, Solange, The Roots, Spoon, Gucci Mane, Kaleo and Flo Rida. The list goes on with some very talented artists from all kinds of genres. There is also a comedy segment that includes Margaret Cho, Todd Barry, Brody Stevens and Judah Friedlander. Watch the lineup announcement video below. The festival will kick off on the first couple days of September (1-3) for Labour Day weekend.
Flume released a new single in February off of their Skin Companion EP II titled “Enough.” The new single features Pusha T and was initially recorded for the first LP but released for this one. Lorde is coming off of her headlining role at Coachella where she suprised the crowd by debuting a new song. The new track is titled “Homemade Dynamite” and took Coachella’s Sunday night by storm. Odesza is set to headline this year’s Karoondinha Festival with The Roots in Penn’s Cave & Wildlife Park at Centre Hall, PA.
Other attractions that Bumbershoot will feature include a Seattle music panel, a subpop pop-up store, a short film festival, a variety of food trucks and more.
