Com Truise + Clark @ Mohawk 6/9

Seth Haley is the synth-obsessive electronic musician known as Com Truise. Originally from Onieda, New York, he is residing in Los Angeles, California, for now. Haley left his career as being an art director to start making music. Starting out his career in 2007, he has been making music under several names: Sarin Sunday, SYSTM and Airliner. His music can be described as synth-wave or slow-motion funk.

On top of three studio albums and four Eps, Com Truise has remixed a numerous amount of different artist’s songs. Neon Indian, Tycho, Foster the People and Daft Punk are just a few artists Haley has remixed. Cyanide Sisters was Haley’s first EP released in 2010 under Com Truise. Silicon Tare is his latest EP that was out in 2016. On April 5th, he released a new single “Memory,” that is available on Spotify.

Com Truise’s music isn’t electronic music you hear every day, it’s different. With heavy influences of artists from the 80s, it’s almost like it’s a time hop to 35 years ago. Sometimes instrumental music can be too overpowering, but not Com Truise. Each layer of each different sound, is strung together perfectly. The use of slow and fast bleeps, echoes and heavy synth tones gives Com Truise a nostalgic videogame theme that synth-lovers are crazy about.

Don’t miss Com Truise + Clark at Mohawk on June 9th.
