The Bad Suns have done a good deal making name for themselves and music for their fans since 2012. The quartet consisting of Christo Bowman, Gavin Bennett, Miles Morris and Ray Libby brings alternative rock music to life using some of history’s more progressive artists as their inspiration. At the tender age of 10, Christo began taking interest in the guitar as his house was filled with worldly music. He recalls Elvis Costello, the Cure, and the Clash being the most influential of all. Though these groups and artists all found their beginnings in the ’70s and ’80s, they were a bit ahead of their time, more progressive than most and the Bad Suns’ sound certainly embodies the essence and movement these greats once exhibited.
Their first single release “Cardiac Arrest” wasn’t intended to bring them any stardom or shine but as fate have it, the song was met with great critical and fame acclaim with launched the group into a headlining tour of smaller venues which included the Troubadour in West Hollywood. Their rising fame has led them into numerous festivals including a 2015 appearance at Coachella as well as three different festivals this year peppered in between shows during their current tour.
Their latest album “Disappear Here” landed them a number 13 peak position on the U.S. indie charts and their popularity and presence in the alternative rock world continues to grow. Due to popular demand, The Bad Suns have added a second show at the Fonda Theatre, right smack in the middle of Hollywood on the famed boulevard, as the concluding show for their tour. Tickets are flying so make you sure catch them while they’re available.
