Flynt Flossy & Turquoise Jeep @ The Echo 5/23

Like many other musical artists Flynt Flossy & Whatchyamacallit recognized that the boundaries and walls being built by industry big-whigs was suffocating their creativity. And like many other creatives, when their back was against the wall they joined forces with like-minded people and found an escape by forming their own label Turquoise Jeep and even genre of music EMB (Existing Musical Beings).  Quite spiritual, humble and broadly defining as anyone interested in being labeled as simply a form of creative existence. Poetic, yes. Culture defining? In so many ways, quite the contrary.  Turquoise Jeep lives by the fact that not everything needs to be defined in order to be alive.

Since 2009 the comedic hip hop beings at Turquoise Jeep have been making music and videos and even released their own clothing line.  Their YouTube videos have made the rounds to millions and include songs such as “Lemme Smang It” and “Did I Mention I Like To Dance.” Between 2011 and 2013 the members of Turquoise Jeep toured continuously while releasing new music. Members Flynt Flossy and Yung Humma even appeared on Childish Gambino’s record “Fuck Your Blog.”

If comical hip hop with a pure core and reason is your calling, this show is not to be missed.  Light hearted, fun and groovy, Turquoise Jeep brings the party without fail.  They will be at the Echo on May 23, 2017. Tickets are now available!
