Tove Lo Debuts New Song “The Struggle” at Coachella, Promises Lady Wood Sequel

On the final night of Coachella 2017 several surprises happened, both in terms of songs played and in terms of special guests. Swedish singer Tove Lo (and prior mxdwn SXSW favorite) made good use of her set this evening. During the set she indicated in between songs that later this year she would release a sequel to last Fall’s hit release Lady Wood, appropriately titled (at least as of now) Lady Wood: Phase II. After indicating that fact, she also premiered a new song slated for it, entitled “The Struggle.” Unsurprisingly, the song features Tove Lo howling repeatedly (and as effectively as any material from last year’s release) “The struggle is real!” Scroll down below to hear the entirety of the song as played on stage at the festival. It’s likely this one will end up pulled down from YouTube so take a listen ASAP before it’s pulled offline.

Later on near the end of her set she invited out rapper Wiz Khalifa to join her. Together they performed their collaboration from Lady Wood, “Influence.” You’ll find that one all the way at the end of the article. Oh, and apparently during her set she chose to flash the crowd. Not surprising given her long-form video from last year “Fairy Dust,” but we’ll let you google around if that’s something you’re really determined to see.
