Japan’s most hardcore female rockers, Babymetal, just announced that they will host their very own Five Fox Festival this summer. The nine-show festival will take place across Japan at four different venues and well…this is where things get interesting.
Each show will have specific audiences and dress codes to create a unique experience for each show. And in case you think these are just suggestions, think again. It appears that Babymetal is trying very hard to cultivate a certain experience, putting strict requirements on their shows.
A statement from Babymetal states: “Each show has its own specific conditions which purchasers must abide by. Please make sure that all of the conditions are met before you make the purchase. In case the purchaser does not meet the specific conditions and wins tickets, we reserve the right to refuse admittance.”
The various shows will have specific audiences including males only, females only, teens only, and “elementary school children & 60 and up,” as well as dress codes including “corpse paint.”So if you fall into any of those categories, be sure to snag your tickets early.
Babymetal first burst onto the scene with their debut album, Metal Resistance, this past year and have stayed busy as of late, as they are currently opening for a large portion of the Red Hot Chili Peppers tour this year, as well as supporting Guns N Roses during their time in Japan. They’ve also supported Metallica for a show in Korea this past January, and made their American television debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
