Feist Announces Spring 2017 Tour Dates and Releases New Song “Century” Featuring Jarvis Cocker

Feist has announced a series of intimate spring 2017 North American tour dates to promote her forthcoming album Pleasure, which will be released April 28 via Interscope Records. See the list below for all of the tour dates and locations. After her spring tour, Feist will also be playing several international festivals, including Saskatchewan Jazz Festival, Out of the Woods Festival and OFF Festival.

Pleasure is currently available for pre-order, and those who do pre-order it will immediately receive the title track “Pleasure,” as well as the newly release single “Century,” which features Jarvis Crocker. Listen to “Century,” below:

“Century” begins slow, similar to the Feist songs many know and associate with relaxing, summery vibes. However, the song builds to include garage-rock riffs and more, for lack of a better word, “feisty” singing from Feist, as compared to what most fans may be used to.

Pleasure is Feist’s first album in 6 years, with her most recent being 2011’s Metals, which debuted on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart at number 7, and was Feist’s first top-10 chart topper in the U.S. It also went on to win a Polaris Prize in 2012 as well as Album of the Year by the New York Times. Via Noisey, on Pleasure: “Thank you based Feist, for showing us how much better music would be if everyone took six years off in between albums.”

Tickets for Feist’s upcoming tour dates go on pre-sale Thursday, April 6 at 10 a.m. PST, and will be available to the general public on Friday, April 7, also at 10 a.m. PST. Tickets will be available at listentofeist.com.

Watch Feist perform “Hey, That’s No Way To Say Goodbye” in Honor of Leonard Cohen at the Juno Awards.
