Who would have thought that this indie singer would become an almost house hold name? Father John Misty co-writes for Lady Gaga and Beyonce and has quite the following these days. Many people not only love his pop-indie sound, but the fact that he is unafraid to give it to someone in an interview with his firecracker responses.

For those of you who remember when Misty released his original single “Leaving L.A.” , it was over 13 minutes long, which is not exactly radio material. He knew this and decided to do fans one better and release a radio edit of the son, that is just over 3 minutes in length, shaving an entire 10 minutes off of the song.

This does Misty very well because not only will he be able to be heard on the radio but it gives new fans the chance to try him out in a smaller dose.

Check out the single below and keep watch for his new album Pure Comedy being released April 7th.
