Toshi Kasai, the producer for Melvins has announced that one album for sure is completed. The tweets show that he has finished mastering two new albums. One is a new album by Melvins and the other a solo album by drummer Dale Crover, who has been with the Melvins for almost every album they ever released. Kasai took to Twitter and posted a picture providing evidence that music is being cranked out. The first tweet of the Melvins album is captioned “D.T.S” while the photo shows, drawn in chalk, a label that says “Double That Shit.” The photo has two CD’s in it, meaning both albums could possibly be finished?

The Melvins have done a lot for rock and roll and were largely responsible for the introduction of sludge-infused riffage. Dale Crover was also revealed as a guest on the newly announced Primitive Race album. The band will also be one of the headliners at Psycho Las Vegas in August.

Earlier this year we were informed that the band had two albums in the works and we are excited that one is officially done. They also released the split 10″ record with Red Kross and OFF! so give that a look as well. Things seem very up in the air though and it looks like new music will be headed your way soon so don’t miss out.
