WATCH: A Tribe Called Quest Releases New Video for “Dis Generation”

According to ROLLINGSTONE, Legendary hip hop group, A Tribe Called Quest, have released a beautiful video for their song “Dis Generation”. Featured on their 2016 We Got It From Here … Thank You 4 Your Service album the video is in black and white and starts with group member Q-Tip rapping while walking down the street. Last year Tribe released their album on an exciting but sad note as one of their group members passed away. Tribe payed tribute to their fallen group member, Phife Dawg, while performing on Saturday Night Live.

Directed by Hiro Murai, the video is filmed a few different location starting on the street then transitioning to a high energy crowd as Q-Tip performs on top of an abandoned vehicle. The entire video is beautiful as it appears to be all one aerial shot going from location to location. At one point, Q-Tip is laying on the ground but the director does a great job at making Tip look like a giant as everyone stand around him while he raps his verse. Busta Rhymes, a frequent collaborator and friend of the group, makes an appearance standing in the street.

A Tribe Called Quest will be performing at the Pitchfork Music Festival located in Chicago. They will also be performing at the Panorama Festival, not stopping there they can also be seen performing at Bestival.
