The Walters @ Sidewinder 5/5

The Walters and Summer Salt will be hosting a show together for fans to get down and boogie in Austin on Cinco de Mayo. The Walters is a five-piece cardigan rock band from Chicago, Illinois that formed in 2014. Summer Salt is a coral reef rock trio from Austin. Along with them will be two other Austin-based bands Roses and Daphne.

The Walters have released two EP’s and numerous singles since they got together in 2014. “She’s Gonna Leave You” is their new latest single that was out on January of this year. The five-piece’s music consists of nostalgic melodies and snappy ‘60s pop rock. “Goodbye Baby” and “New Girl (Tom’s Song)” are perfect examples of why they are often compared to The Beach Boys with their surf rock tunes and catchy doo-wops.

Summer Salt is similar to The Walters in a sense that they both have a nostalgic oldies-style. Summer Salt has released two EP’s that show off their tropical retro talent. With both The Walters and Summer Salt, this show will bring tons of happy vibes to kick off the start of summer. These two will leave fans wanting to drift away somewhere on the beach.
