LCD Soundsystem Playing 5 Shows to Open Brooklyn Steel

It’s almost impossible to think of another band as perfect as LCD Soundsystem to open a music venue with. Welcome to Brooklyn Steel, folks–because LCD Soundsystem is back and they’re playing not just one, not just two, but five shows. So buckle up and get ready to dance to the hits because James Murphy + the biggest general admission venue in Brooklyn x 5 nights = New York at its very finest.

When LCD Soundsystem decided to call it quits back in 2011, playing MSG and releasing a music doc called Shut Up and Play the Hits, fans were broken-hearted. At the peak of their success, why walk away? But the hiatus only lasted a couple years before LCD returned to the stage, including first-time festival Panorama at Randall’s Island, and started making new music again (which hopefully they’ll introduce at BK Steel in between hit songs like “Daft Punk is Playing at My House” and “Dance Yourself Clean”).

Tickets for these shows go on sale on Thursday, March 30, so be sure to set your alarm and start getting yourself totally amped up to welcome back the band, introduce yourself to spankin’ new Brooklyn Steel, and to sing and dance your heart out as though your life depends on it. And remember: when they sing “I wouldn’t trade one stupid decision for another five years of life” you better believe it.
