Kate Nash has just announced that she will be taking on a UK tour this summer in celebration of the 10th anniversary of her debut album, Made Of Bricks.
The tour will begin on August 1 of this year and run till the 10, which will entail 7 different gigs. The British singer/songwriter will make stops in Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester, Nottingham, Bristol, Brighton and London. According to NME, tickets for the tour will go on sale this Friday, March 31, at 9 in the morning. For a full list of tour dates see below.
Made of Bricks was first released in September of 2007 and entered the Uk charts at Number One. The highly successful debut was made up of hits like “Foundations,” “Mouthwash” and “Pumpkin Soup.”
Nash followed this success with a couple more albums in 2010, titled My Best Friend Is You, and in 2013, titled Girl Talk. While the two albums never saw the same level of commercial success that her debut had, there was no shortcoming of talent through her career. Recently, Nash has returned with a new EP release titled Agenda, which was released on Record Store Day last week.
On a more legally inclined career route, Nash has recently accused Snapchat of using her music with out her permission. According to NME, Nash had this to say to the social media giant:
“Haven’t been on a record label for 5 years & would really appreciate being paid for the use of my work by a giant corporation!!” she wrote. “Google says you were evaluated at 22 billion ahead of IPO last year. So dude where’s my pay cheque…?”
