Fans of the English rockers, Ride, are in for some good news.

After recently sharing their first new material in nearly two decades, the band is back to announce their new album, Weather Diaries.

The album, which will be released through Wichita Recordings this June 16, will be sure to be welcome reunion between fans and the band with all the familiar sounds. Trembling distortion and pounding rhythms mixed with luscious harmonies and soundscapes, all staples of Ride’s sound, will all be present to give fans that fuzzy feeling of nostalgia while providing them with new and modern tunes.

DJ, producer and remixer Erol Alkan will be helming production duties while longtime friends of the band (and Wichita Recordings’ founders) Mark Bowen and Dick Green will be reuniting with the band after their work in Ride’s formative years.

Not to leave fans hanging, Ride also dropped off a video for the album’s lead single “Charm Assault,” which see hazy and psychedelic visual effects to complement the equally psychedelic and harmonious guitar and vocals. Fans of the “shoegazing” legends will feel right at home with this new track.

Ride will also be on tour this summer to support the new LP.
