311 @ Huntington Bank Pavilion (7/2)

If you weren’t able to join 311 on their 5th 311 Cruise in early March, you can see them in concert this summer!  311 recently announced their 2017 Unity Tour; the 8-week, 40-stop summer tour starts in June in Cleveland with a stop at Chicago’s Northerly Island.

The tour will feature new music from 311’s recently announced album Mosaic which is expected to drop sometime this summer (expected before the start of the tour).  The band has released the lead single “Too Much to Think” which continues the 311 formula of reggae-funk with a catchy but laid back chorus.  The last studio album was released on 311 day in 2014 and Mosaic has been in the works since February 2016.

The rock band has become a summer staple at Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island.  I went to this concert several years ago and I still think about it when daydreaming of summer days.  This is the perfect location and atmosphere to just relax and take in the beauty of the city and lake around you.
