The Blackest of Black Festival may have a tough time trying to blanket Southern California in something other than sunshine and space cadets; however, the Silverado, California festival may actually give all those babes in bathing suits a run for their money given today’s news.

From May 26th to the 27th, in Oak Canyon Park, fans of punk, and metal…and the “spooky” implied kind of darkness advised, have the chance to perform a sort of sayans, in a musical inspired kind of style.

Today, According to The Prp, Blackest of Black shared some limited, but equally stellar headliners at the top of the promised 20-band line-up. And, without fail, what good would any “dark-fest” really be without the king, and by that I mean Danzig, showing up and doing his, er, uh, thing? But, shhhh…it gets better. Chicago industrial-metal group Ministry are the second of two performers released from the event’s orchestrators this morning.

So, while the world simmers on that, a full reveal of the rest of the two-day event’s artists are set to come out on March 27th. OOOOooooh AAAAAAhhhhh. And, for fans of Danzig, the former Misfit moniker, and current solo-sensation also put in his two cents too. The legend shared via Facebook news of a Mid-May album release: a collection of songs tagged by Danzig as “all-new material”. While the new record’s title is still a secret, Danzig reminds his loyal fans that their seven-year itch off of 2010’s Deth Red Sabaoth will sooneth be scratcheth, ye olde punky metal lovers.
