WATCH: Rodney Crowell Releases New Video for “Nashville 1972”

Good things are happening in the land of Rodney Crowell. Today, Paste premiered Crowell’s new single “Nashville 1972.”

The interesting thing about this song is that Crowell notes that he has very little recollection of even writing the song. He had no intentions of making a video or putting on his album. Aster his manager took a listen, he insisted that it goes on his forthcoming album Close Ties. This song stems from his experience arriving in Nashville in the early 70’s and the people he met and worked with such as Vince Gill, Guy Clark and Steve Earle.

This album is expected for release on March 31st. He mentions many different artists in the song including Vince Gill and Guy Clark and a handful of others.
