According to Pitchfork , Terrance Malik’s new film Song to Song will be timely released on March 10th at SXSW. The film was filled with lot of mystery over the years but back in January the film was finally announced with a release date and a pretty amazing line up We now have the official list of who is in the film and who got the boot.

Lykke Li plays the ex-lover of Ryan Gosling in the film and they sing the Bob Marley song “It Hurts to Be Alone” together in the film.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Patti Smith, Iggy Pop, John Lydon, and Alan Palomo all have some speaking parts as themselves. A handful of other stars make an appearance like Tegan and Sara, Diplo, Spank Rock, Florence Welch, and Big Freedia also have small roles in the film.

“God Running” a Patti Smith song that was never released also made an appearance. There is music from Sharon Van Etten, Die Antwoord, , the Plasmatics, Bob Dylan, Julianna Barwick, Gyptian Meredith Monk, and more.

The big news here is that some Scenes with Arcade Fire, Fleet Foxes and Iron and Wine did not make the cut as well as some scenes filmed by Christian Bale. These scenes were filmed but unfortunately did not make the final cut of the film. There is not a clear reason but it can only be hoped that the final product will still be fantastic. Check out this awesome trailer and look forward to this film’s release in a few short days.
