Chicano Batman @ Glass House 4/29

Chicano Batman.  The four-piece psych-rock band based in LA has been paving the way for modern Latino music sine 2010.  Comprised of Eduardo Arenas- base guitar and vocals, Carlos Arevalo- guitar, Bardo Martinez- lead vocals, guitar, organ and Gabrielle Villa- drums, percussion, Chicano Batman has the familiar feel of bands such as Pepper, the Black Keys, and has opened on select dates while touring with Jack White.

“Yes, you can categorize us as different genres but more than anything it’s a feeling, we all put all of our energy into it and try to meld each other’s sounds together,” says Bardo.  Spoken like a true artists, that is, true to their sound, true to their beliefs, and true to their word it is nearly impossible to put their music in a box or to categorize it under one genre.  This is part of what makes Chicano Batman’s music so honest, leading it to be so easy to listen and connect to.

As the desert city festival Coachella looms ever closer, fans and party goers will be able to experience a series of sideshows leading up to the April weekends that have us all waiting anxiously with our mouse-clicking-trigger-fingers ready to go to pre-order tickets.  On Saturday April, 29 at the Glass House, Chicano Batman will be accompanied by the Tijuana Panthers and Sad Girl, swooning with their crooning and spreading lots of LA love.  Make sure to get them out!
