Breakbot @ The Roxy 4/18

French DJ and producer Breakbot has quite the body of work.  From EP’s to studio albums and guest appearances mixed into the broad and deep universe of his remixes, there is no shortage to what he brings to the table.  His remix of “Let There Be Light” by Justice in 2006 could define his break out point in his career and he certainly has no plans of letting up any time soon.  With remixes of Roykopp, Digitalism and Chromeo, Breakbot and his record “Baby I’m Yours” with Irfane, he was catapulted into the upper echelon of producers/remixers.

His last album release “Still Waters” saw light in October of 2016.  One his singles, “Star Tripper” was featured in “Star Wars Headspace,” a Star Wars themed music album released by Disney. His 2008 remix of Pnau’s song “Baby” and his original record “Penelope Pitstop” can be heard racing the streets in the popular video game Gran Turismo 5. However, his imprint on pop-culture doesn’t stop there.  In 2012 chart hit “Treasure” by Bruno Mars had to be re-registered with ASCAP with new writing credits which included Breakbot due to the similarities cited with Breakbot’s record “Baby You’re Mine.”

On Tuesday April, 18th Breakbot will taking over the Roxy in West Hollywood a part of the Coachella Sideshow series happening before, during and after the main event takes place in the Coachella desert.  Grab your dancing shoes and disco ball earnings, this will be one hell of a party.
