Girlpool Announces New Album Powerplant for May 2017 Release

Girlpool has a new single/video out and now they have officially announced a full-length album will be following May 2017. After signing to Anti-Records late last year the duo is set to hit for the whole tour cycle after the album release as well. The Fader described the new album saying it “hits like a bag of bricks; it’s proof of the specific magic that happens when their voices come together.” Judging off the single “123” the album will deliver biting but slow rock with melancholy vocals giving an eerie conveyance.

Girlpool released Before the World Was Big in 2015 and their lives haven’t been the same since, lost in a whirlwind of touring and promotion that envelops those artists talented and lucky enough to produce something great. Two Girls Cleo Tucker and Harmony Tividad decided to uproot from LA and move to Philadelphia where the quickly entrenched themselves in the local scene and created the name Girlpool for their group. Now that they have had the more than a year in the spot light they have honed their sound into a masterful cacophony of grunge instrumentation and indie rock harmonies. Adding procession the group is now completed and ready for another jog around the country.
