The pop band Magnetic Fields stops at the Union Transfer for a two-day show in Philadelphia. Last year, Magnetic Fields announced the release date for their new upcoming album, 50 Songs Memoir, due to come out this March. Magnetic Fields has given their fans quality music over the years and show sing of slowing down.
The American pop indie band first formed in 1989 with the lead singer Stephin Merritt. Magnetic Fields released their debut album, Distant Plastic Trees, in 1991. After their debut album, Magnetic Fields continued to release albums every two years. As the band grew, their sound changed. Magnetic Fields music has been known to use multiple sounds from around the world. Stephin, the band’s main songwriter, lyrics showcase love and bitter feelings. Most of their albums have followed some theme among them.
