Kodak Black @ The Fillmore 3/02

Kodak Black makes his way to the famous Fillmore next month. After the release of his latest album, Lil B.I.G Pac, Kodak Black has continued to gain fans and respect in the game. The rapper/producer is one of the best on the rise.  Earlier this year, Kodak Black released a video for his new song, Tunnel Vision.

Kodak Black started rapping at the age of 12 in multiple rap groups. It wasn’t until 2013 when Kodak Black released his first mixtape, Project Baby. The following year, Kodak Black dropped his follow-up albums, Heart of the Projects and Institution. In 2015, Kodak Black fame rose when Drake used one of Kodak Black songs in a live video on Instagram. The same year, Kodak Black signed with Atlantic Records, boosting his earning and fame more. In May 2016, Kodak Black was featured on French Montana’s Lockjaw song.  The song peaked at 23 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Rap Songs chart, further proving Kodak’s greatness. Kodak Black’s album, Lil B.I.G Pac, became his first mixtape to appear on the Billboards.

Kodak Black with other has ushered in a new age of rap. Kodak has been compared to Lil Wayne and Mobb Deep. Kodack showcased his rapping skills during  XXL magazine’s Freshman Class cypher in 2016. Kodak Black music usually has a hard life theme with trap beats to go with it. Kodak Black is sure to a huge star in years to come.

Donovan Wilkins: Donovan Wilkins is a self-taught photographer and published writer. He lives in Glenside after moving from his hometown of Philadelphia. After studying Liberal Arts at CCP, he decided to focus his time on his writing and photography. In 2016, Donovan completed his first feature-length screenplay, The Coast is Clear. During his career, Donovan worked on a small budget film in Philadelphia as part of a writing team. Since then, he has written various short screenplays.
