Little Dragon Announces Summer 2017 Tour Dates And Releases New Song “Higher”

After a two-year hiatus, Swedish electronic music band Little Dragon chose the day of love (all be it a heavily marked day of love) to release a sexy new single, “High,”. The song is the first single from since the groups’ 2014 grammy nominated Nabuma Rubberband. Little Dragon was also recently featured on Flume’s “Take A Chance,” from the Grammy Award-winning album Skin.

In the new single Yukimi Nagano sings:

“I press / My head on your shoulder / There’s nowhere else I’d rather be / Right there / A little but slower / Feel free to roll / Another one for me.”

The new song features hypnotic dream-pop vocals from Nagano and some sexy slow electronic beats perfect to set the mood for the holiday. The trippy, textile-filled video, directed by Ossian Melin, has a genie in the lamp feel to it as it zooms in and out of focus on both the facial features of singer Nagano and an accordion playing in the background in a basement built out of Pinterest dreams.

The group has also announced their first North American tour since 2015 will begin this spring beginning with a stop at the immensely popular Coachella Festival. Throughout the tour, they will be joined for a few stops by rapper Goldlink, as well as an occasional appearance by Glass Animals.

Tickets will go on sale this Friday, Feb. 17, via Little Dragon’s website.
