Quite possibly one of the coolest tribute concerts happened the other night…and…well…fuck, we all missed it (okay you out there may have made it).
On January 25th The Wiltern opened up it’s doors to David Bowie Fans everywhere for a very special night in memory of the late artist. One especially standout performance includes Slip Knot/Stone Sour vocalist Corey Taylor‘s rendition of “China Girl”, and it is chillingly admirable.
According to The Prp, “Other guest musicians outside of Bowie‘s backing band on hand included Sting, Ian Astbury of The Cult, Def Leppard‘s Joe Elliot, Bush‘s Gavin Rossdale and more. The stop was part of the ‘Celebrating David Bowie Tour‘ and saw Taylor join various musicians onstage for a rendition of ‘China Girl’.”
Find fan-footage below of Taylor’s performance, and be green with envy (for those who may have missed it).
