Method Man & Redman @ The Novo 2/3

Hip hop is alive.  To further prove this point the Novo will be hosting two of hip hop’s most recognized and talented emcees, Method Man and Redman.  The dynamic duo of the Ticallian Stallion and the Funk Doctor Spock have been making trading rhymes and tearing beats since 1995 when they released the collaborative record “How High.”  Since then they have gone on to release two albums (Blackout! and Blackout! 2, the former reaching RIAA Platinum status) and many records in which they were both featured on.  You might also remember the stoner-classic film “How High” from 2001 in which the starred along side each other. Roomers are 2017 could see the release of the sequel “How High 2.”

Both Red and Meth have carved out their place in history as two of the best to ever grace a mic.  Method Man, the highly energetic and rugged wordsmith is best known as the face of the Wu-Tang Clan has released five solo studio albums, two of which have reached platinum status.  Tical, being his first and most successful release.  Redman offers the perfect match of style and energy, being the Brick City rapper capable transforming into anyone of his numerous aliases at any given time.  With 9 solo albums (4 of which have gone gold and 1 platinum) Redman has made a mark for himself and cemented his status as one of the greats.

The duo comes together in what should be an exciting and energetic explosion on stage as both emcees feed off each other’s emotions and rhymes.  Be prepared to lose your voice and your ability to walk for a few days and you’ll be screaming and jumping around non stop as the classic power of hip hop rips through the atmosphere.
