Music takes on a charitable cause on March 11th and 12th of this year. And, for those who invest, the benefits are pretty damn good. According to Consequence of Sound, The Gasparilla Music Festival, an annual event that takes place in downtown Tampa Bay, has just released it’s 2017 lineup. While the bill’s headliners are diverse, every kind of music-lover, in this case, goes home a happy camper.
The non-profit organization, The Gasparilla Music Foundation, according to the festival’s homepage aims at, “creating a long-term sustainable institution benefiting the Tampa bay area, and support[ing] and Promot[ing] local musicians and bands,” amongst a vast array of other good-doings.
So while the price of admission for the two-day festival goes for a, relatively modest, sixty bucks, festival-attendees get to see their hard-earned dollars go towards promoting wealth in the local artist community. With that said, this year’s acts are a host of legendary and swoon-worthy recording artists. Ryan Adams, Ghostface Killah, and Cage The Elephant are all artists/groups promised to headline the event, with several more stellar music-acts supporting the three.
The event takes place at Curtis Hixon Park, Kiley Gardens, and ticket’s for said festival can be purchased here.
