If a classic voice with a more modern sound is something you’ve been seeking, look no further. The former Police frontman and decorated solo artist Sting is taking to the road once again with Joe Summer and The Last Bandoleros on a world tour in support of his new album “57th and 9th.” He recently released his video for the lead single off the album on January 10th. Sting shows no sign of slowing down his already his illustrious career as this is his 33rd studio album since 1971 when the played in “Newcastle Big Band” on bass.
Since then, Sting has gone on the lead one of the prolific and inspiring musical careers in recent memory. He has accumulated a total of 36 awards and 76 nominations to go along with his Hollywood Walk of Fame induction which took place in May of 2013. He has played in many events that have benefitted human rights including the fourth Amnesty International Gala in 1981, he also founded the Sting Rainforest Foundation Fund to help save rainforests and the indigenous people of Brazil.
Sting will be at the Hollywood Palladium on February 8th, a fitting and iconic venue for such an icon himself. As we navigate the the times and the unsuspecting world we live in, there is one thing for certain that we can count on, good music and concerts will remain alive for us all to get a way for a few hours. To return to fond memories, to dance, to cry, and to make new ever lasting memories with one another. Sting’s tour is sure bring all of these feelings and emotions to life in a spectacular array of voice and instrument.
