It’s that time of the year again. The post-Christmas treat where we are blessed with festival lineup after festival lineup. Next up? The Netherlands’ Lowlands festival. This year the annual three-day festival announced Mumford and Sons, The xx, Flume and others are part of the festivities.

The festival, which has been operating since 1993, has been one of the Netherlands’ favorite festivals since it replaced A Flight to Lowlands Paradise that was first organized in 1967 by a local Utrecht-based artist Bunk Bessel. Since then, the festival has grown to over 55,000 visitors spread over ten stages (usually inside tents to protect against the typical Netherlands weather).

Lowlands has provided a medley of artists, both large and small, local and international, across a variety of genres. Artists such as Chet Faker, Nine Inch Nails, Motorhead, Of Monsters and Men, The Black Keys and a slew of others have all graced the stage.

This year, Lowlands promises again not to disappoint with an excellent lineup. In addition Flume, Mumford and Sons and The xx, artists big and small such as alt-j, Editors, Iggy Pop, Cashmere Cat, Ty Segall, and several more are slated to join.

Headliners Mumford and Sons will also be performing alongside Frank Ocean and Major Lazer as headliners for the Hangout Music Festival, while elbow will release their new album, Little Fictions, prior to the tour. Tove Lo has also been busy, with the release of her very NSFW short film “Fairy Dust.”

Check out the full lineup below and stay tuned for more artists to be added to lineup. Or if you’re already sold, cop your tickets here.
