Many of us have already been enlightened to the emotional, gritty, captivating and uncomfortably serine music produced by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. They are living legends, both collectively and individually which is a reason why they’ve been able to not only outlast many of the musicians and groups over the last 20+ years but also stay, well, hot and also relevant. The California collective is off on another world tour promoting their latest album The Getaway which was produced by music renaissance man Danger Mouse.
Accompanying RHCP will be Trombone Shorty, the lead man for Trombone Shorty & New Orleans Avenue, the funk/hip-hop/rock/jazz infused band. Trombone Shorty has been touring the world since 2005 when he was the a player in the horn section for Lenny Kravitz’s band. Since then Trombone Shorty has made music and played with notable acts such as Raphael Saadiq, Macklemore, Madonna, Queen Latifah, and has also played at the White House in honor of Black History month.
New music or not, any chance you get to see RHCP should be acted upon immediately. They have reached a certain level of celebrity that goes beyond the glitter and glam of Hollywood. In fact, they have created their own. As they stand alone atop of their mountain they give fans the show of a life time, night after night. Due to their longevity they have a built a personality around the band that people have come so familiar with, so noticeable that even a non music lover will recognize as classic.
