On Dec. 30 Canadian turntablist and and musician Kid Koala released a short teaser video showing a tid bit of new music from his upcoming album along with a video he described as “like a little musical brain massage.” The song is definitely soothing yet a little ominous, and was released via Kid Koala’s official Instagram page. The track is from the new album “Music To Draw To: Satellite,” and accompanied with a video with someone doodling on a page. The album is avaliable for pre-ordera and comes with a complimentary sketchbook. Click below to listen to the short teaser yourself and get pumped for the upcoming album.

The new album Music To Draw To: Satellite will be released later this month on the 20 and will feature Iceland’s Emilíana Torrini. It won’t be the first time the duo hits the studio together, as they collaborated in 2014 on “Nightfall (Pale Blue).”

Since then, Kid Koala performed his live score to a stop motion film at Wave Festival in 2015, and announced satellite concert where everyone in the audience were to perform on their own turntables.

McKenzie Dillon: University of Nevada, Reno Alumna. I graduated with a major in writing and a minor in journalism. I enjoy reading, writing, and listening to music of course. I was raised in the bay area, and am thrilled to be living back in California. Catch me at your local music festival, because there's nothing better than laying back in the grass and listening to your favorite bands or discovering new ones.
