WATCH: Ice-T’s Body Count Teases New Song “No Lives Matter”

As last year’s politics have caused changes in art and other aspects of society, Body Count’s frontman Ice-T has released a teaser for their new track “No Lives Matter”, which will be a part of their upcoming album Bloodlust coming out in March.

When giving details about the new album to Revolver Magazine, according to Blabber Mouth, Ice-T had said “I like to start with hot metal tracks that you can listen to without a word on them and go, ‘Wow, that was just like fire!’ The music tells me what the song is about, and that’s when the words start coming to me. Then it’s up to me not to fuck it up.”

According to Loud Wire, the band has began creating a music video for the single and will start out with a monologue of the frontman’s responce to people who say ‘All Lives Matter” when responding to “Black Lives Matter”. In this monologue, he states with a passionate voice “When I say ‘Black Lives Matter’ and you say ‘All Lives Matter,’ that’s like if I was to say ‘Gay Lives Matter’ and you say ‘All Lives Matter,’ if I said ‘Women’s Lives Matter’ and you say ‘All Lives Matter.’ You’re diluting what I’m saying, you’re diluting the issue,” Ice-T says. “The issue isn’t about everybody, it’s about black lives at the moment. But the truth of the matter is they don’t really give a fuck about anybody if you break the shit down to the low fuckking dirty ass truth.” The video can be watched below.

Along with the release of the single and the new album in 2017, the band will also join Dave Mustaine of Megadeth on tour with four other bands.
