Sango @ The Echoplx 2/3

The Seattle born and Michigan based producer Sango broke into the scene back in 2010 with his self-released instrumental album “Unfinished & Satisfied.”  His debut introduced himself to the world as a unique melody composer with blends of live instrumentation and fluttering frequency sweeps of carefully cut samples.  His imaginative beats proved to be a sign of change in the ever-evolving world of hip-hop.  His influence of Brazilian “baile funk” and interesting computer modulated noises can also be heard layered through his music, drawing inspiration from the likes of Flying Lotus and other progressive beat-makers. If this wasn’t enough, Sango is also a graphic-designer and has designed all of his releases up to this date.

Since 2010 Sango has made a name for himself remixing hit songs by Nas, Drake, The Weeknd, and Little Dragon while also lending his talents to help produce Tinashe’s “Cold Sweat”, just to name a few.  All of this running parallel to signing to LA indie label “Soulection” and releasing his album “Trust me” in 2012 as well starting his  “Da Rocinha” collection which currently has three volumes to vibe out to.

Sango is poised for a huge year in 2017 and it comes to no surprise that his high energy act is one of the most sought-after in the performance world.  He has toured 50+ cities world wide and is constantly apart of the biggest festivals world wide and on Friday February 3, 2017 you’ll be able to catch him at here at the EchoPlex where the mood is sure to be heavy with a burning energy, live groove, and sweaty bodies coming together on the dance floor in an act of excitement and release.
