Run The Jewels @ The Shrine Auditorium & Expo Center 2/1

A Christmas miracle was dropped into our internet Christmas stockings as Run The Jewels dropped their third album a few weeks ahead of their scheduled January 13 release date.  The duo made the album free for download on their website and available across most music streaming providers on December 25 at 12am EST.

The thunderous rap duo of El-P and Killer Mike are back in LA for a fourth time, set to bring down the house at the Shrine Expo Hall on February 1, 2017.  El-P,  the Brooklyn born emcee and pioneer of the underground rap scene lays down the sharp and eerie beats while both him and Killer Mike, the heavy hitter from Atlanta, drop knowledge and lend a voice to America through the art of rhyme.  The first official single, “Legend Has It”, off of their third album “Run The Jewels 3”, lets current fans and new comers alike know who they are, what they stand for and above all else, they mean business.

In an age where opinions and information are in constant flux, RTJ ignites listeners with the same powerful messages that have resonated through their music over the last four years and it is personified through their performances.  Blistering synths and ground shaking bass only amplifies Killer Mike’s powerful stance on socio-political issues and El-P’s maze of haunting and gonzo-like lyricism, complimenting each other in a deliciously sounding way, as Killer Mike puts it: “RT&J we the new PB&J”.
