Commemorating their 20th anniversary, Stones Throw Records has announced a vinyl subscription service. Starting on January 1st, 2017 and going throughout the entire year, Stones Throw Records will offer subscribers this for the price of $250 plus shipping. This series includes every new release from the label- albums, EPs, 45s, box sets, special edition reissues.
Stones Throw Records began in 2996 by Chris Manak, also known as DJ Peanut Butter Wolf. Manak began this record label as a means of releasing his debut album with the late MC Charles Hicks, also known as Charizma. Since then, it has transformed into a critically acclaimed American Indie music label located in Los Angeles. They have numerous hip-hop records including; Madvillian’s, Aloe Blacc, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Homeboy Sandman and plenty more. Also in 2014, the label was featured in the documentary directed by Jeff Broadway called, “Our Vinyl Weighs A Ton” which featured hip-hop artists Kanye West and Questlove.
