Canadian music producer Joel Zimmerman, better known as Deadmau5, took to his Twitter on Saturday to vent his thoughts on upcoming album W:/2016ALBUM/. The album is set to drop on Dec. 2 and Deadmau5 called the album “fucking rushed/slapped together.” While he mentioned the two songs he was actually happy with, the producer didn’t enjoy the album overall. “Why put out an album if you don’t like it,” asked a curious fan, to which Deadmau5 replied “COZ I GOT FUCKIN MAD BILLS.”
i don’t even like it. it was like… so fucking rushed / slapped together. but i mean… hey, if you like it i wanna like it too, just dont.

In his next tweet, the producer tried to look at the situation from a little more positive perspective.
this is seriously a love/hate thing happening here. But, a thing, nonetheless. and it’s good to be doing things. — dead mow cinco (@deadmau5) November 20, 2016
At the end of the tweet series, Deadmau5 closed with a confession regarding the last ten years of his music career.
maybe it’s time… to just sit down, and work on this fabled “album i like” thing ive been wanting to do for the past 10 years. — dead mow cinco (@deadmau5) November 20, 2016
Regardless of his feelings, there’s no doubt fans love his material, and there’s a ton of value in that right? This just goes to show the best is yet to come, and who knows. Maybe Deadmau5 will end up surprsing not only his fans, but hiself with the end product of W:/2016ALBUM/. Watch out for the upcoming album dropping in the very near future.
Deadmau5 recently released a new song from his new album called “Let Go.” It wasn’t on his list of favorite’s but the track is still undeniably worth a listen. Just last month he and Kaskade released a new video for “Beneath With Me” featuring Skylar Grey which you can watch here.
