WATCH: Casualties of Cool Release Performance and Interview Video From Dunlop Sessions

Country Rock duo Casualties of Cool featuring Canadian musicians Devin Townsend and Ché Aimee Dorval just released a new performance and interview of the Dunlop Sessions via JimDunlopUSA’s Youtube. The video starts off with an interview with Townsend and Dorval about how they started the band, and what they think about the music they made together. Next, you see the pair begin their performance of their song “Mountain Top,” which is an incredibly soothing and melodic country track where you can feel the pairs’ chemistry as their vocals harmoniously bounce off one another. Around ten minutes into the video, they switch songs and perform their second song, “Bones,” which is more of a simpler ballad. Towards the end you can listen to Townsend’s personal input on the reality of the music industry today–and peoples stride to reach perfection. Casualties of Cool released a self-titled album in January of this year and have released music videos for several of the songs, including “Daddy” and “Flight.” To support the release of the album, Townsend creating a crowd funding campaign in Feb. 2014 which was ultimately successful and the album dropped later that year.

Devin Townsend is a talented Canadian singer, songwriter, and producer. He has released several studio albums across his music career with different bands, with his most recent being the Devin Townsend Project who released a new album earlier this September. In recent news, The Devin Townsend Project announced they’d be playing Townsend’s 1997 album Ocean Machine in full, next year in Bulgaria.

Ché Aimee Dorval also originated from Canada as a singer songwriter who caught major producer David Foster’s attention in 2007. The next year the singer released her first album Underachiever and a six song EP in 2015 called Volume One. The singer has worked with Devin Townsend before as the duo went on tour together in 2014 and are currently in the studio working to create a new album according to Dorval’s official website.
