The xx Announce Spring 2017 Tour Dates

UPDATE: The xx did not incorporate any shows in the UK originally. Recently on the contrary, fans have been receiving snail mail from The xx inviting them to shows in the UK. Now, a UK and European tour has been announced. View the updated tour here.

Influential figures like Drake, Solange, Franke Ocean, Radiohead, The Velvet Underground and Alicia Keys have not only changed music history but most recently, inspired English indie dream pop band The xx in their third studio album. On Monday, they made a social media post that entailed, “.. We are in the studio working on our third album; it feels so good to be together making new music. Meanwhile, we wanted to share a playlist of songs we’ve been listening to in the studio.”

The xx announced they’re taking on an international tour. Big news, considering they haven’t performed live in almost three years. The tour will start off in Croatia and continue to cover a lot of ground. Beginning in Europe and heading over to Asia, ending in South America. Desperately anticipating to hear what they have in store for their third album, we can only hope they manage to perform a few favorite classics as well. Fans have been posting on their social media requesting they incorporate songs like, “Angels”, “Crystalised” and “Islands” in their upcoming tour. Tour dates and locations are linked below.

While, The xx is assiduously fabricating their third album and upcoming tour, they still manage to drop another announcement for fans. This past September, they revealed that they would be headlining Lollapalooza South America this upcoming spring.

UPDATE (1/19): The xx have added to their Spring 2017 tour. With appearances in Europe, Asia, North America and South America, it is now a full-fledged world tour in support of their new album I See You. Among the dates are appearances at Coachella, NOS Alive, Bonnaroo, Primavera Sound and many other festivals, as well as a seven-night stint at the 02 Academy Brixton.
