R&B sensation Abęl Makkonen Tesfaye, or better known by his stage name The Weeknd, has announced follow-up studio album to his most recent Beauty Behind Madness LP. According to Pitchfork, STARBOY was announced earlier today on The Weeknd’s Twitter feed, featuring the album cover which was created by famous photographer Nabil.

There are still speculations on what the album will be like once released, the main curiosity is whether or not the rumors are true, and that Daft Punk (who were recently reported to be collaborating with The Weeknd) will actually be featured on the LP.

There is no date yet on when the album will be released, The Weeknd has had a busy few weeks, most recently performing at The Meadows Music Festival in NYC, plus continuous work on the upcoming LP, so it seems like he will take his time and reveal all the information once he feels it is appropriate.

Update 9/22/2016: According to The Verge, the release date for The Weeknd’s upcoming new album has been announced. Sources report that STARBOY will be hitting the record stores and in online digital download on November 25th. The title indicates that this album might have The Weeknd’s rise to stardom as the main theme of the LP, but we will just have to wait and see.
