LISTEN: Korn Covers Faith No More’s “We Care a Lot”

Nu-metal pioneers Korn have released a cover of Faith No More’s classic 80’s rock hit “We Care A Lot”. The new track can be listened to below:

The slapping and picking on the opening bass riff really adds Korn’s nu-metal flair to the rock classic. It layers with a bouncier, more aggressive percussion to give the track a nu-metal feel. The Korn cover features more guttural, deep vocals that add raw passion to a relatively innocuous track. The power rock-like riffs of the original are replaced with heavier chords that look over the abrasive percussion beneath.

Faith No More recently played special set in Los Angeles with original vocalist Chuck Mosley. Pictures of the unique event can be viewed here. On the other hand, Korn has been busy with their upcoming album The Serenity of Suffering, which will be released October 21st, 2016. The album will be Korn’s first release since 2013’s The Paradigm Shift. To promote this upcoming release, the band has released music video for their new track Rotting In Vain, which can be viewed here.

Speaking of We Care A Lot, Faith No More recently reissued the original groundbreaking album this month.
