The Swedish heavy metal band Ghost has added new ghostly figure to the mix, a mysterious bassist who’s rumored to be an established female in the music industry. Of course, this theory is only based off of speculation, as the masked ghouls are experts in keeping their identity secret. Nonetheless, spectators have noted the new bassist has a smaller frame than other members, and claim the feeling of a female presence.

Two specific women have been at the head of the Ghost rumors. The first is the original bassist for heavy metal band White Zombie, Sean Yseult. The rocker kept fans guessing with a Tweet that didn’t confirm nor deny the ongoing speculation, adding fuel to the fire to those dying to know the identity.

Others guess Linnéa Olsson, a former guitarist of The Oath, as the ghostly gal.

The acclaimed “she” made her first appearance on Sept. 18 at the Rock Allegiance Festival in Chester, Pennsylvania. They are kick starting their Popestar Tour. They will be releasing a new EP this fall so Ghost fans can be on the lookout for the anticipated music.

UPDATE 9/27: The identity of the new female Ghost member has been revealed, thanks to dedicated member of Metalsucks. Turns out all the previous rumors were incorrect, and the real ghoulish gal is speculated to be Megan Thomas of the tribute band Lez Zeppelin.

According to Metalsucks, Thomas is known to wear a square shaped red ring on her middle finger as shown in pictures. The same ring was spotted on the middle finger of the new addition to Ghost, with an identical “X” tattoo. She has also hasn’t been present at several of Lez Zeppelin’s shows, further confirming the speculation over her identity.
